Yukon-based improviser Aimée Dawn Robinson on her production of "Ramble", showing in the Special Presentation Series in SummerWorks 2015. "Ramble" is inspired by the relationships that people have to the wild, and the politics of ancestral memory and forgetting. Opens Thursday August 6th at 5:45pm at The Theatre Centre Mainspace. Aimée is also offering a workshop as part of SummerLab, "The Space Wants You: Nature in the Wild City" on Thursday August 13. Choreographer Anthony "Prime" Guerra  talks about the world premiere of Obeah Opera, an a cappella musical  steeped in black music with a diverse all-female cast of fourteen. Presented in association with Nightwood Theatre and b current. Shows August 4 to August 8 2015 at 7pm, with a Saturday matinee August 8 at 1pm. Choreographer Aria Evans, Artistic Director of the Go To Company production "Desiccated," which is showing in SummerWorks 2015. It is a movement-based multi-disciplinary performance that merges contemporary dance, a live vocal soundscape, sculptural installation and video projection.
